• As part of the legacy of the 2026 World Cup, Arca Continental and Coca-Cola Mexico Foundation will install 100 new systems (50 in Jalisco and 50 in Nuevo León), reaching a total of 300 schools benefited.

Guadalajara, Jalisco, April 16, 2026 – With the goal of strengthening access to water and promoting a culture of responsible use among students and communities, Arca Continental—one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the world—and Coca-Cola Mexico Foundation carried out the symbolic delivery of 19 rainwater harvesting systems during an event held at Secundaria Técnica 14 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, reaching a milestone of 200 rainwater harvesting systems in the territories where it operates as part of the “Escuelas con Agua” program.

These systems benefit more than 92,000 people and have the potential to collect 48 million liters of rainwater annually, equivalent to 4,815 water trucks of 10,000 liters each.

As part of its 100th anniversary as the first Coca-Cola bottler in Mexico, and in line with its long-term vision for the communities it serves, Arca Continental announced a joint investment with Coca-Cola Mexico Foundation to install 100 new rainwater harvesting systems in 2026. Of these, 50 will be located in Jalisco and 50 in Nuevo León, reaching a total of 300 schools benefited nationwide, with a total investment of MXN $76 million.

The ceremony was attended by Pablo Lemus, Governor of Jalisco; José Borda, Executive Director of Arca Continental Mexico; members of the school community; and strategic partners, who highlighted the importance of advancing sustainable solutions that contribute to the well-being of students and communities.

“Since day one of my administration in Zapopan, both Arca Continental and Coca-Cola have supported us in this great responsibility through public spaces, water conservation, education, and environmental initiatives—socially responsible companies,” said Pablo Lemus, Governor of Jalisco.

José Borda Noriega, Executive Director of Arca Continental Mexico, added: “Today we celebrate the 200th ‘Escuela con Agua,’ but we also renew our commitment to providing access to water for people… At Arca Continental, our conviction is clear: to continue being the best neighbor to the communities where we operate and live, giving purpose and meaning to everything we do as a company.”

This initiative is part of Arca Continental’s water stewardship strategy, focused on the efficient use of water in its operations, the conservation of water sources, and the promotion of projects aimed at expanding access to this resource for future generations.

The 200 schools reached across Arca Continental’s operating territories are part of the national program led by Coca-Cola Mexico Foundation, which to date includes more than 900 Escuelas con Agua.
