During a visit of the facilities, in what was one of his first public acts in the framework of the economic reactivation of Ecuador, President Moreno witnessed the safety protocols under which the company is operating.

In his participation during the videoconference, Santos Reyna thanked the government of Ecuador for allowing Arca Continental to collaborate in efforts to handle the sanitary emergency, both by supplying beverages and food for the whole of society and by directly supporting the first line of defense against the virus—which includes medical and safety personnel—as well as thousands of customers.

“The permanent collaboration you have promoted has enabled us to protect, since the very beginning of the emergency, both our employees and the communities, supplying food, beverages, and other means of support during the contingency. We have also assisted, in any way possible, the safety, health, and aid forces in their tireless efforts to protect the Ecuadorian people”, he said.

President Moreno extended his “appreciation and congratulations for having the entrepreneurial ethic to continue working, even when conditions were at their worse. You have made a contribution to safeguarding the jobs of people who have to feed their children and see to the well-being of their families”.

The milk donation is part of the support efforts with which Arca Continental strives to have a positive impact on Ecuador for the duration of the sanitary emergency, which include donations of other beverages as well as programs to protect and reactivate thousands of small neighborhood stores.

With actions such as these, Arca Continental reaffirms its commitment to safely delivering food and beverages to millions of families in every territory where it operates, while at the same time striving to protect the safety and labor stability of its employees.
