Arca Continental Strengthens Logistical Capabilities in Peru

- With an investment of USD$ 48 million, AC inaugurates the Lima Distribution Center, which will serve 30,000 points of sale and over 3 million consumers

Lima, Peru, August 23, 2017. – As part of Arca Continental’s strategic plan to meet the demand growth of the Peruvian market in the coming years and to strengthen its logistical capabilities, Arca Continental Lindley inaugurated today the Lima East Distribution Center, located in Huachipa.

CWith an investment of USD$ 48 million, the new logistical center is equipped with the latest technology and the highest standards for quality and efficiency to improve service to nearly 30 thousand clients and 3 million consumers in Lima.

“The modernization of the logistics systems at Arca Continental Lindley manifests the Company’s commitment to excellent service, as well as our determination to contribute to Peru’s economic development, driving employment, innovation and socially responsible investments”, commented Manuel L. Barragan Morales, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arca Continental.

Furthermore, Francisco Garza Egloff, Chief Executive Officer of Arca Continental, pointed out that the new facility is part of the strategic investment plan carried out in Peru for nearly the past two years, which includes the modernization of the production plants, improvement of the commercial system, new information technology and better service to consumers at the point of sale through the use of equipment, technologies and training of customers in the traditional channel.

““The expansion of our capabilities reflects the fact that our Company is growing in size, but only as a means to become a better company, one that is more agile and open to change, capable of executing broader-reaching projects, to achieve better results for our shareholders, our associates and society as a whole”, he stated.

The East Distribution Center spans 18,000 sq. m., with a warehousing capacity of over 350 thousand liters of beverages per year, through more than 16,000 storage spaces.

It will be able to attend to 80 trucks per day to transport product from the plants, and distribute product through 150 trucks per day to points of sale.
