Monterrey, Mexico, May 20, 2026 – Arca Continental, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: AC*) (“Arca Continental” or “AC”), one of the world’s largest Coca-Cola bottlers and celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026 as the first Coca-Cola bottler in Mexico, has been included in the prestigious CDP Supplier Engagement A-List.
This ranking assesses companies’ ability to strategically engage suppliers in climate-related actions, including target-setting, emissions measurement and reduction, and the integration of environmental criteria into procurement processes.
This distinction—awarded to approximately 5% of the more than 22,000 companies assessed globally—recognizes the company’s best practices in embedding sustainability throughout its value chain, with a focus on climate governance and Scope 3 emissions management, where the greatest environmental impact occurs.
This recognition reflects the integration of sustainability as a core element of Arca Continental’s business relationships. As the company marks its centennial, this milestone reaffirms its commitment to extending its sustainable business model across its entire supply chain.
“This recognition reflects Arca Continental’s commitment to a long-term climate action strategy that goes beyond our own operations, extending to suppliers and partners throughout our value chain” said Alejandro Molina Sánchez, Chief Technical and Supply Chain Officer at Arca Continental.
Among the company’s most significant initiatives is its collaboration with PetStar, the world’s largest food-grade PET recycling facility led by Arca Continental, which processes 5.5 billion bottles annually and operates with a net-zero carbon footprint. Additional examples include vertical integrations such as PIASA and IPASA in Mexico, as well as the Famaillá and Bella Vista sugar mills in Argentina.
During the year, 95.30% of the company’s supply chain spend was allocated to local suppliers, reinforcing its commitment to long-term partnerships that contribute to regional economic development. This approach helps strengthen more resilient and efficient networks capable of responding swiftly to external disruptions.
Arca Continental promotes a Sustainable Sourcing Program that addresses the business’s most relevant priorities, aligned with its Environmental Leadership pillar. As part of this strategy, the company works closely with suppliers to advance initiatives such as water-use efficiency, implementation of controls to reduce local emissions, and—in agricultural regions—the adoption of practices aimed at preserving soil health and promoting more responsible production models.
One example is the certification of the first farm in Ecuador under the Grass Fed model, focused on improving animal welfare and providing milk with better taste and greater nutritional value. This model will expand to 100 farms, reaffirming Arca Continental’s commitment to a more sustainable supply chain and responsible livestock production.
In addition to its inclusion in the CDP Supplier Engagement A-List, Arca Continental received “B” scores in CDP’s Climate and Water categories, and was included—for the fourth consecutive year—in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook and the FTSE4Good Index Series of the London Stock Exchange, as well as for the seventh time in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class MILA Pacific Alliance Index.
